Gold for Czech Republic

Czech Republic has become the winner of the UNIF World Cup 2014, when in the final match defeated Slovaks 3:0. The third place belongs to Romania.

Karel Hron and Ján Kilík begun with traditional single. Czech representatives were better from the beginning of the match and thus won in two sets 1:0.

The game of doubles offered big drama. Czech players were much better in the first set and they won 11:5. But in the second set Slovak representatives Brutovský and Kilík was better than Czech double Kopa and Rosenberk. In the final third set our double stepped up and gained the second point for the Czech Republic.

The coach of the Czech team nominated Kop, Pelikán and Topinka to the triples. It was very difficult set for both teams. At the end of the first set Vanke substituted Pavel Kop and it pretty helped our team. The Czech team continued in good pace in the second set and they could enjoyed well- deserved victory.

President of the Czech Futnet Association Mr. Kamil Kleník, the general secretary Zuzana Viňanská and the Deputy Mayor of the City Brandýs nad Labem – Stará Boleslav Mr. Petr Kváča handed medals and other awards over to first four teams in the following medal ceremony.
